Formed in 1927 in North Melbourne by John W. Derham as the Australian Mouding Corporation, the company merged in 1932 with Moulded Products, a gramophone record manufacturer.
They were responsible for Saxon, Harlequin, and Duperite ware. Dunlop Perdiau gained a controlling interest in this firm between the years of 1934-6. They became the largest producer of moulded plastic products in Australia.
Many of their product lines can be seen in the advertisement below. A new factory was built in Mentone in 1944 that operated until 2006. In 1966 the company was renamed Nylex Pty. Ltd.
